On Monday, Job Club helped the plants to climb. First, we put the sticks in the soil. Next, we tied the string around the sticks. Then, we stretched the string around the next stick. Now the peas can climb the sticks and string.
From Job Club Class
Now that most of the set-up work for the garden has been finished all that is left until harvest is watering and weeding. Today Teacher Barb’s class visited the North garden in order to do some maintenance in the plots. They weeded, planted basil, put more compost on the onions, and watered everything. Barb also led an impromptu lesson on how to open and lock the garage door – a task that is surprisingly more difficult than you’d think (in the case of our garage).
